Noir-Styled Survival Horror White Night is Now Available on iiRcade Cabinets

While it may not be the first place to expect survival horror, the iiRcade arcade cabinet systems are getting a stylish one today. This 1930s noir-style horror experience is called White Night, a title that also lives happily on other consoles and systems but this is the first time the game will be featured on a cabinet. This new arcade platform release though has quite a few unique features to make it fit the iconic control scheme.

Announced via a press release, this release of White Night will feature revamped controls, an adjusted save system, and an overhauled interface. “We’ve been excited for the release of White Night for quite some time now,” Jong Shin, founder and CEO of iiRcade, “It’s a really unique game that’s a lot of fun to play on iiRcade, especially with our speakers and the suspenseful 1930s horror setting.” In White Night, players dodge ghastly apparitions, solve light puzzles, and explore a spooky mansion.

White Night was developed by the French indie company OSome Studio and the game has been ported to pretty much every platform. However, and this may be my nostalgia talking, there’s always something special about a game running on an arcade cabinet. I’ve seen lots of one-off custom cabinets for indies at conventions but these iiRcade cabinets are bringing more indies into that style of play and that’s awesome in my book. It’s always exciting to see indie games in more places and there’s certainly enough special hardware out there for just about any playstyle.

White Night is available to purchase on the iiRcade store for $14.99 USD and a full list of other iiRcade titles can be found here. The game is also available on most platforms. To learn more about the iiRcade system itself, check out our discovery post.
