About Forever Classic Games

Forever Classic Games is a clutter-free media outlet that helps developers, publishers, high-level players, and fans connect by sharing their stories through our written content, podcasts, videos, and streams.

We do our best to add to the conversations surrounding games in meaningful ways.

We strive for quality news, features, and reviews on our website, utilizing our unique perspectives. Our interviews often share human stories, giving more value and respect to the media we love. We’ve connected with developers, leaders of major organizations, extremely skilled players, musicians, public figures, and many more.

Everything we do is out of love for games, film, animation, comics, and art.

We started this project as college friends having fun creating silly “let’s play” videos and sharing games with others. After graduating, Alex set out on a writing journey where he learned the basics of freelance media. Zach became an actor-combatant and enhanced his business and management skills.

Games were always a part of their lives and that overlap of passion created the need to create an anchor point, leading to Forever Classic Games, a clutter-free games media site that dives further into the stories behind games discovering quality experiences throughout gaming history.

Over the years, Forever Classic Games has expanded to include incredibly talented contributors who have expanded our capabilities, both in podcasting and video production.

Every single piece of content here was created by a person. We are completely against the use of generative AI in content creation.

Timeline:

2013 - Alex starts developing Let’s Play, Reviews, and List content videos under the Forever Classic brand on YouTube.

2017 - Zach joins and The Forever Classic Podcast is created as a fun project to learn what it takes to develop a podcast and create content revolving around the latest news, and generally talk about all things games, film, and anime culture.

2018 - The Forever Classic Games website is born with the intent to bring detailed articles and sources of information about everything from film, games, anime, developers, producers, musicians, artists, and more!

2021 - Forever Classic Games LLC becomes a business to provide the skills we have developed over several years as services to help out indies, writers, students, etc…

The future is bright for Forever Classic Games LLC. Stay cool and welcome to the ride!

  • ALEX MCCUMBERS

    Twitter: @ACMcCumbers

Alex has been slowly shaping his writing, networking, and production skills for over a decade. He got into games journalism to keep his writing skills and habits in check, as he has always wanted to create a novel or write a game's narrative. Sites that have published his work include Giga Geek Magazine, Marooners' Rock, and Twin Galaxies. Several guest pieces have been uploaded on other sites. He grew up in rural West Virginia, surrounded by Appalachian music and culture. By day he is an Account Coordinator with Stride PR, promoting games to media and influencers.

Forever Classic was the branding that was invented during one faithful summer when he became absolutely fascinated by the world of Let's Play comedy and video essays like Sequelitis. The Forever Classic brand name has always been at the back of his mind, tying it to projects here and there, but this website will be able to collect all of those efforts into a single place.

"Welcome to Forever Classic, I'm Alex McCumbers."

A Jack of all trades. That’s what they call Bards, multi-talented individuals, and people with a passion for learning. Zach Snyder falls into this category for multiple reasons. With a background and education in Performing Arts, Design & Tech, he’s an avid lover of all kinds of games from tabletop to video games. Zach brings the special ability to put himself and those who follow him into different viewpoints on any subject matter. This comes from having formerly been a certified Actor-Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, his work as a professional stage actor, and through the amazing people he has met along the way.

Zach got into gaming at a young age, but his passion really developed when he learned of Dungeons & Dragons with his friends and the infinite worlds and possibilities that are created from it. Zach wants to bring that feeling of joy and satisfaction to all readers, listeners, and lurkers alike!

“Be Well, Be Good, and Welcome to Forever Classic Games!”
