Kao the Kangaroo gets Halloween-Themed DLC

Light-hearted Scares and New Haunted Looks

The recent reboot of the surprisingly popular Kao the Kangaroo franchise from Tale Multimedia is getting a Halloween-themed DLC on October 13th across all its available platforms. Titled the “Oh! Well” DLC, this release marks the third addition to the game, although this pack will be the first to be paid content. The DLC is available to buy on its own for $6.99 USD or as a bundle including the base game for $34.99 USD.

The new DLC adds five new skins to unlock alongside five new Eternal Wells levels. While the recent trailer keeps things short and sweet, it's clear that the developers had a lot of fun adding a spooky element to the bouncy roo’s world.

For platformer fans, Kao the Kangaroo was mostly a delightful return for the niche (by comparison to other iconic characters) series. The game includes several nods to previous entries and when talking with the team at PAX it is evident that they adore this franchise, spending a lot of time examining why people fell in love with the character in the first place. We do have an interview with Sean Halliday on our podcast feed from that event.

Anyone looking for a new platformer or a light-hearted way to celebrate Halloween should give Kao the Kangaroo a try.
